Volu-Matic Features
Blow-Through Air-Lock Feeder:
Blows right through each chamber of the air-lock feeder to put the material directly into the airstream.
Positive Displacement Blower:
The blower automatically increases pressure to the limit of the blower relief valve to prevent plugging of the hose.
Automatic Back-Pressure Check Valve:
The check valve in the air line between the blower and the feeder keeps material from being forced back into the blower by back-pressure when the machine stops blowing.
Tachometer:
Allows the operator to set the throttle the same each time to assure the job will be done the way you want it (standard on most models).
Damage Protection:
Special shear keys protect the Volu-Matic III & V machines from damage by foreign objects. You can replace them in minutes. The Volu-Matic IV is protected by hydraulic relief valves.
Access Windows:
Access windows in the front of the shredder let you quickly remove foreign objects from the area.
Self-Aligning Sealed Bearings:
Bearings are dust sealed and will not require greasing for at least three years.
Fully Sealed Feeder:
Steel feeder has one-piece seals around all three sides of each rotor blade. This assures a tight seal under pressure and helps eliminate wear in the feeder housing. An optional "Quick Change" feeder seal system is available on the Volu-Matic III. A drop down feeder is standard on the Volu-Matic IV.
Remote Control:
A wired remote is supplied for machine control at the point of application.
Safety Guards:
Front, rear and side guards surround all moving parts for added protection.
Adjustable Drive Belts:
You can tighten or adjust the belts to the correct tension with a minimum of effort as they wear.
Belt Tighteners:
Special belt tightening screws make it easy for you to keep the belt properly tensioned.
Material Slide:
Easily controlled from front panel.
Additional Features:
A redesigned air-lock feeder, a more streamlined fiber shredder, a split-end safety guard to facilitate access to the feeder and an electrical interlock to disable the drive mechanism when the front safety guard is opened.
